Legal Aid - Invoice Report

Location: LEAP Menu > Other > Legal Aid - Reports > Office > Invoice Report.

Purpose: Lists all invoices generated within a specified period of time for matters under legal aid arrangements. It provides further breakdown between fees and disbursements.

Report Trigger: The invoice needs to be generated for a Legal Aid matter and dated within the specified period to be included in this report.

Please be aware that relevant transactions entered after Today's initial run time will be incorporated into the report generated the following day. These transactions include newly finalised invoices, adjustments to existing invoices, new receipts applied to invoices, and invoice reversals.

 

This feature is attributed to the batch processing approach employed by this report, wherein all daily transactions are collectively processed at the initial run time of the day. Therefore, it's advisable to generate this report at regular intervals, such as once a day or a week, to ensures that stakeholders receive timely and consistent information.

Report Filters:

Start Date/End DateLists all invoices dated within the selected date range. 
Display Staff Initials forDisplays the initials of either:
  • Person Responsible, or 
  • Person Acting

Report Fields:

Inv No.Invoice number
DateInvoice transaction date
Matter NoMatter number
ClientThe client name
Reversed DateDisplays reversal date, if applicable.
Person Acting/Person ResponDisplays either the Person Acting or the Person Responsible for the matter, depending on your selection for 'Display Staff Initials for'.
Fee (excl)Total billed Professional Fee, excluding tax
Fees TaxTotal amount of tax on the invoice
Disb (excl)Total billed Disbursement, excluding tax
Disb TaxTotal amount of tax on the invoice
Discount/Adj (Inc)Any discounts or adjustment applied against the invoice
Inv total (Inc)Total amount of the invoice including tax
Payments ReceivedAny payments received against the invoice
Balance DueThe total amount outstanding on the invoice
