Location: LEAP Menu > Reports > Client Funds > Client Accounts Uncleared Funds

Purpose: The report lists Client Funds cheque receipts that have been banked but not yet cleared, providing details such as the amount, cheque information, bank deposit date, and the number of days until the cheque is cleared. This report aids in tracking Client Funds cheque receipts as well as managing and projecting Client Funds account cash flow.

Report Trigger:

To be included in the report, a Client Funds receipt must meet the following three conditions:

1. Payment Type:

The Client Funds receipt must have a Payment Type of Cheque (e.g., 'Personal Cheque'). Payment Type settings can be found under: Settings > Application Settings > Accounting > Payment Types.

2. Client Funds Bank Deposit:

A Client Funds bank deposit must have been created for the Client Funds receipt. Instructions for creating a Client Funds bank deposit are available here.

3. Cheque Status:

The Cheque associated with the Client Funds receipt must NOT have been marked as cleared. When users manually mark the Cheque as cleared upon verifying the relevant Client Funds bank account, the Client Funds receipt/cheque will no longer be incuded in the report. To mark a Client Funds cheque as cleared, follow the steps below:

1) Opening the Client Funds receipt.

2) Click and select Cheque Cleared.

3) Click Save & Close.

Report Filters:

Bank Account Name

Allows users to tailor the report by selecting a specific Client Funds Account to focus on.

Display

Includes two display options:

Group By: Groups the report by:
- Matter
- None
Expand Row Groups:

No – The report does not display the relevant client and matter information.
Yes – Expands the report to show the relevant client and matter information.

Report Fields:

Matter No.	The matter's number.
Date	The Client Funds receipt's Transaction Date.
Receipt No.	Reference number of the receipt.
Type	The type of cheque, such as Personal Cheque or Bank Cheque.
Drawer	The drawer entered in the 'Payment Type Details' window when creating a Client Funds receipt.
Sort Code	The Sort Code, as entered in the 'Payment Type Details' window when creating a Client Funds receipt.
Account Number	The Account Number, as entered in the 'Payment Type Details' window when creating a Client Funds receipt.
Bank Deposit No.	The Bank Deposit reference number.
Bank Deposit Date	The Bank Deposit's transaction date. NOTE: This is based on the 'Transaction Date' entered in the 'New Client Funds Bank Desposit' window, when creating a new Client Funds bank deposit.
Days until cleared	The number of days until the cheque clears. NOTE: 1. The 'Days Until Cleared' is calculated based on the 'Clearance Days' for a specific cheque Payment Type, set under the Settings > Application Settings > Accounting > Payment Types. eg., Default Clearance Days: • Bank Cheque – 5 Days • Other Cheque – 3 Days 2. When the 'Days until cleared' is 0, it indicates that the cheque clears today. If the value is negative, it indicates that the cheque has already been cleared based on the 'Clearance Days' settings. Once you manually mark the cheque as cleared upon verifying the relevant Client Funds bank account, it will be removed from the report. 3. The 'Days Until Cleared' does not take into account public or bank holidays.
Amount	Total paid amount to be cleared.
