Welcome to the Ideas Hub

The LEAP Ideas Hub is built to empower you, our user community. You can suggest new features or improvements and vote on the ideas of others, and gives you complete transparency over where the things that are important to you are in our development process.

We do not accept new feature requests or improvements to LEAP in any other way.

Submitting a new idea

If there is something you feel our products should do, or you can see a way of improving an existing feature, please log into the Ideas Hub. Start by searching to see if it has been logged already - if so you can add your comments and votes to this idea.

Complete as much information as you can when submitting an idea. You must explain what the feature or improvement is in detail as insufficient detail or generalist ideas will be marked for deletion without explanation. We also would like information on how important the idea is to you.

An example of a good idea is:

‘Add Person Assisting to the Matter List Report to allow us to track which matters our secretaries are assigned to. This helps us ensure work is evenly distributed.’

An example of a bad idea is:

‘Add Person Assisting to all reports’.

The reason this idea will be deleted is that it does not help us identify the business reason as to which reports really need the field added, and therefore the priority. Adding one field to all reports would be prohibitively time consuming, and not necessary.

Please ensure you submit separate ideas for each item you wish to be improved or each feature you wish to be implemented. Ideas with multiple suggestions will be deleted without explanation.

How we prioritise

Once you have submitted your idea will receive triage by our Product Team to ensure that it meets the required level of information required, whether it is a duplicate or is an existing feature. We will also advise whether this is something we won’t consider for strategic reasons.

Once the idea has sufficient votes, it will undergo a formalised review process before being moved through the development cycle and release.

Each idea will be assigned a status as follows:

  • Under Threshold – This is a new idea that is not popular enough to initiate a formal review by the product team. All ideas are reviewed informally to ensure they meet the guidelines. Those that don’t will be marked for deletion.
  • In Review – The idea has passed the threshold or the product team has identified a reason to review it before it reaches the threshold, such as a legislative change.
  • Accepted for Consideration – The product team like the idea and it is being considered for a future release, but it has not been allocated to a release and therefore no date is set for its implementation.
  • In Development – The product team has passed ownership of the idea on to the development teams. You can expect it to be released in 3-6 months. However, this is subject to change.
  • Released – The idea has been released and is now available. Voting and commenting on the idea is disabled, so any ideas on how to change this feature should be submitted separately.
  • Will not Implement – This idea does not fit with the LEAP ethos of simplicity or is too client- specific to warrant further investigation.
  • Insufficient Detail – This idea does not have enough information for either the LEAP product team to evaluate it, or for other users to understand what is required. You are encouraged to post your idea again with a higher level of detail. The idea will be deleted in due course.
  • Existing Feature – The feature already exists within LEAP. You will be directed to the relevant help article(s) or provided with further guidance, such as contacting the HelpDesk.
  • Existing Idea – The idea already exists in the Ideas section.

Low scoring ideas

We periodically remove low scoring ideas that are over 6 months old.
