In the Autumn Budget announced this week, changes to SDLT rates for the purchase of additional properties and by non-natural persons came into effect on October 31st.
Today we updated the Conveyancing Details table to reflect these changes.
New rates are effective on matters with the Date Opened or Completion Date on or after 31 October 2024.
For impacted transactions where Exchange took place on or before 31st October, the previous rate will still be applied.
Please note in all other scenarios the exchange date is not used to calculate SDLT.
