Using the Client Bank Account Register

How To

The Client Bank Account Register allows you to view and manage all client cheques, client receipts and client bank deposits entered into LEAP. Access transactions, create new transaction or modify transactions without having to open the matter.

The Client Bank Account Register will automatically update as you change the bank account and date.

Access the Register

From LEAP Matter List, click the LEAP Menu > Accounting > under Client Accounting > Bank Account Register.

The Client Bank Account Register will open in a new window.
Transactions will be listed for the Default Client Funds Bank Account.

If you have more than one Client Funds Bank Accounts, click next to Bank Account and make your selection and click Select.
Enter or click to select a From Date.
Enter or click to select a To Date.
Transactions will be listed with the following information columns:
- Transaction Date (Trans. Date)
- Entry Date
- Transaction No.
- Matter No.
- Received From/Paid To
- Withdrawal
- Deposit
- Client Funds Account Balance
- Bank Reconciliation Date (BR Date)
- Transaction is Reconciled? (BR)

Additional Options

Click at the top of the window to print the Client Bank Account Register based on the selected Client Funds Bank Account and Dates.

You are also able to create a:

New Receipt
New Payment
New Bank Deposit

If you are moving funds from one Client Funds Bank Account into another, the method to record this in LEAP is by creating New Payments from the old Client Funds Bank Account for each matter, then creating New Receipts into the new Client Funds Bank Account that correspond with the created payments.

How to Confirm If Transactions Are Reconciled

If a transaction is reconciled, it will show the Bank Reconciliation Date on the BR Date column and a tick on the BR column.

Click > Accounting > under Client > Bank Account Register.
Transactions will be listed for the Default Client Funds Bank Account.

If you have more than one Client Funds Bank Accounts, click the drop-down and select from the list.
Enter or click to select a Entry Date From.
Enter or click to select a Entry Date To.
Transactions will be listed with the following information columns:
- Transaction Date (Date)
- Entry Date
- Transaction No.
- Received From/Paid To
- Withdrawal
- Deposit
- Client Funds Account Balance
- Transaction is Reconciled? (BR)

Additional Options

From the LEAP ribbon at the top, you are also able to create a:

New Receipt
New Payment
New Bank Deposit
