Saving PDFs to a Matter

Learn how to save PDFs to LEAP with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. With simple steps for renaming, sorting, and organising PDF's within your matters. Set Acrobat as your default PDF viewer for optimal functionality.

This feature is only supported in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or Pro DC. The 'new Acrobat Reader' layout is not supported in the free version of Acrobat Reader. To revert to the previous version, users must click Menu > Disable new Acrobat Reader to restart Acrobat Reader.  To install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here.

  • Desktop

  1. Open any PDF from outside of LEAP.

  2. Click on User-added image in the side panel.

    If the LEAP icon is not displaying, click on More Tools and Add the icon under Add-ons.

  3. Click User-added image on the toolbar.

    The Save PDF to LEAP window will open.

  4. (Optional) Enter a Document Name to rename the PDF.

  5. (Optional) Click the filter dropdown to view Suggested Matters.

  6. (Optional) Click to sort the Matter List by Client Short Name or Full Name.

  7. (Optional) Click Select Folder to save the PDF within a sub-folder.

Folder selection will only be available if a matter is already selected. 

  1. Highlight the matter and click Select.

    The PDF will appear under Correspondence in the matter.

You may find that Adobe Acrobat Reader is not set as your default program to view PDFs. For instructions on how to set it as your default, click here.
