If you experience the error message "Insufficient security permissions to create this transaction", please see below for information on this issue.

You may experience an error message "Insufficient security permission to create this transaction" when creating a new client payment/receipt, your LEAP administrator will need to update your user permissions.

Here are the steps to follow:

In the Matter list window, go to LEAP Menu > Settings > Application Settings > Staff > Staff Members Page will load.
Select the relevant staff member and open their contact details.

Click on the Access & Permissions tab, then click Edit Security Details.
In the Staff Security Details page for that staff member, you'll see various tabs. Click on General Client Funds, where you'll find multiple options that can be checked or unchecked.
Adjust the user’s permissions as needed, ensuring that All Other Transactions is enabled.
Click Save in the bottom right corner to confirm the changes.
If you have enabled the Transaction Request App and receive a security access error when submitting a transaction / payment request, ensure the ‘Requester’ role is ticked:
- Navigate to LEAP Menu > Accounting > General > Transaction Requests
- Click the Settings icon (top-left)
- Tick ‘Requester’ and save changes.
