Location: LEAP Menu > Reports > Office > Combined Matter Ledger with Balances

Purpose: Provides a centralised point to locate matters and download their 'Combined Matter Ledger with Balances'. The ledger provided by this report combines a matter's Office Account Ledger (Debtor Ledger including Payment Ledger) and Client Account Ledger as of a specific date, offering a snapshot of the matter's financial health.

You can also generate a combined matter ledger report by navigating to the matter, click the Office Accounting tab, and then click the arrow next to the printer icon in the top-left corner. From the dropdown menu, select Print Combined Matter Ledger to create a PDF that includes the most current Office and Trust ledgers. This report tracks payments, debtors, and Trust movements, and provides a summary of unbilled items for a comprehensive financial overview.

To utilise the report, follow below steps:

Set the At Date and choose to include or exclude Archived Matters. Click on View to generate a Matter List.
Further narrow down the list by typing in the Search box located at the top right corner and choose to show how many matters per page.
By default, the list is sorted by matter number. You can instead sort the list by other fields, in either ascending or descending order, by clicking on the sorting icon next to the respective field.
Locate your desired matter and click the download icon to download the matter's Combined Matter Ledger with Balances.

Report Filters:

At Date	The date the report is run at.
Include Archived Matters	Include or exclude Archived matters from the Matter List.

Matter List:

No.	The matter number.
Type	The matter type.
Debtor Name	The name of the debtor on the matter.
Responsible	The Person Responsible on the matter.
Acting	The Person Acting on the matter.
Status	The matter status.

Combined Matter Ledger with Balances for each matter:

Date	The transaction date.
Reference	The transaction number.
Details	The matter details.
Office Account	Debit: The transaction's debit amount. Credit: The transaction's credit amount. Balance: The resulting balance after the transaction is included.
Client Account	Withdrawal: The withdrawal amount. Deposit: The deposited amount. Balance: The resulting balance after the transaction is included.
